Get to know this broker with a fondness for connecting with others & an extreme love for her family in this week’s Agent Spotlight.
How did you land in a real estate career?
Real Estate is something I’ve always loved! It intrigued me and I wanted to be a part of it.
What kept you busy prior to real estate and how did that prepare you for your now?
Prior to becoming a broker, my husband, Steve and I raised two amazing daughters while being actively involved in the schools and their activities. Having wonderful relationships with people in my own community prepared me to be a broker.
What is the best part about working in real estate?
The people! Connecting the human part to the real estate part.
What is your proudest achievement to date?
Professionally, the business that I have built! I never in a million years thought I would have this rewarding career. Personally, my children. They have become thriving young adults. I am so proud.
If I weren’t a real estate agent, I would be…
A jeweler. I love everything sparkly!
How do you start each day?
Three days a week you will find me at the 5:30 am spin class. The other days I ride my bicycle to the Wood Oaks park and attack the toboggan hill 20+ times. Both are great stress relievers and having a clear mind sets me up for a successful day.
Describe your own first home.
We purchased our first home 24+ years ago and we currently reside in it today. My home is my safe place and sanctuary and where I raised my children. It is a place for family gatherings and celebrations.
What is your favorite local restaurant? Why? What is one amazing dish you always order/recommend?
Next Door in Northbrook. Our meal always starts with warm bread, followed by the mouth-watering Next Door salad. The chicken with leeks is a family favorite and for dessert, the banana chocolate cake is a must!
You have a full day free in your town with no obligations and cost is no object. What do you do?
I’d spend time with my mom and girls shopping, dining out and having tons of laughs. I love my family they are everything to me.
What did you eat for breakfast today?
Two hard boiled eggs, minus the yolk with red pepper hummus.
