10 Things to Do at Lake Geneva Winterfest
Every winter, Lake Geneva hosts Winterfest, a two-week festival that celebrates art, winter, family, and fun. Winterfest has already started, but there are still a ton of fun events for the whole family. Keep reading to learn about ten things not to miss at Winterfest.

Join us on 2/11 & 2/12 at our Lake Geneva office for free hot chocolate and snacks as we celebrate Winterfest! We’ll have our ‘LOVE’ ice sculpture in front of the office so you can’t miss us.
Lace up your skates and enjoy a day on the ice.
Open Skate — Lace up your skates – or rent a pair at The Ridge Hotel’s large and beautifully lit ice rink, just five minutes west of downtown Lake Geneva on Highway 50. Pop inside for hot cocoas après skate. The rink is scheduled to open, weather permitting. Call 262.249.3800 to check the ice.
Watch the ice sculpting competition with a winter-themed drink in hand at the Fire & Ice Lounge at the Baker House.
The Baker House will be transforming their lakefront garden into a winter wonderland featuring their 7th annual ‘FIRE & ICE LOUNGE’. Festivities will coincide with the U.S. National Snow Sculpting Competition and will officially begin Thursday, February 2nd at sunset with the ringing of the mansion bell-tower and ceremonial first run of the vodka ice luge. The U.S. National Snow Sculptors officially end their work at 11:00 am on Saturday (2/4). The Riviera Marketplace is OPEN from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and will offer entertainment, food, fun, exhibitor information, and souvenirs. The voting for the “People’s Choice Award” will go from 11-2 pm and the award ceremony will start at 3:00 pm. For more info, head here.
Play games and catch the fireworks at The Grand Geneva’s Winter Carnival.
On 2/4, head to The Mountain Top at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa for the annual Winter Carnival. Bring your friends and family for a day filled with skiing, snowboarding, and fun snow activities! For more info on the event, head here.
Prepare to be amazed by Mr. Freeze at his “A Real COOL Show”.
On 2/4, you can head to the Riviera Ball Room to catch “A Real COOL Show” presented by Mr. Freeze of Fermi Lab with lots of surprises and some fun facts about the extreme cold. There are two show times, 11:00am & 1:00pm. For more info, head here.

Join MaXxx Motorsports at The Abbey Resort for WINTER FUN excitement. Enjoy free Side x Side rides, winter sports exhibitions, and a chance to win prizes. Soup, magic, and an interactive music game show?! – Soup-Er Magical Evening Sponsored By Harbor Shores (2/8)
After the first few sips of your soup, you’ll be thinking, “How can it get better than this?” and then the real magic…show starts. Children of all ages will love sampling soups from area restaurants, watching the magic unfold at 5:30 p.m., and then join in the interactive music game show at 6:30 p.m.
One non-perishable item or $2 donation for 3 soup hole punch tickets (per person) or two non-perishable items or $4 donation for 5 hole punch tickets soups. Form your team and enter into the Human Dog Sled Race.
Take the reins and form your team for Lake Geneva’s Human Dog Sled Race! Teams compete against each other in a double elimination tournament to determine the winner of this fantastic event. Races start at 10:00 a.m. on Feb 11th. Each team will consist of six people: including four sled pullers, a sled rider, and a sled pusher. The sled race is approximately 135 feet long and takes place at Lake Geneva Canopy Tours’ 100-acre wooded property just minutes from downtown Lake Geneva. For more info, head here.
Watch gigantic kite displays fly over Delavan Lake.
Marvel at dazzling skies, sculptures, and surprises during the 4th annual Sky Circus on Ice. See gigantic kite displays and airborne performances by world-class kite teams over Delavan Lake on Saturday and Sunday. At ground level, top regional artists will showcase ice and snow sculpting skills as they bring frozen forms to life. Hands-on kite making workshops, expert-led kite flying lessons, and family winter activities will add to the fun throughout the weekend.
