@properties Named Finalist For 14th Annual Chicago Innovation Awards
Chicago-based real estate firm @properties is nominated for its groundbreaking app that facilitates communication and cooperation among the company’s 1,900 brokers, and has reduced internal e-mails by more than 30 percent.
@properties, Chicago’s largest independently-owned residential brokerage firm, has been selected as one of the top 100 finalists, among 535 nominees, for the 14th annual Chicago Innovation Awards. The awards celebrate the most innovative new products and services in the Chicago region across all organization sizes, sectors and industries. The winners will be announced on Oct. 27 at Chicago’s Harris Theater before an audience of 1,500 business and civic leaders.
@properties’ innovative product is the @gent app,an internal mobile application that has revolutionized the way the company communicates about and transacts real estate. The firm’s 1,900 brokers post, request, and search for information on topics including pre-market or off-market listings, vendors and referrals. The app has enabled @properties brokers to easily match home buyers and sellers and has generated hundreds of off-market transactions. It has also reduced @properties’ internal emails by more than 30 percent.
@properties was established in 2000 by top-producing real estate brokers Michael Golden and Thaddeus Wong, and has grown into the largest residential brokerage firm in the city of Chicago and one of the top 20 residential brokerage firms in the nation by sales volume.

As one of the top 100 finalists, @properties is also in the running for the annual People’s Choice Award, which will be selected through online balloting at http://www.chicagoinnovationawards.com/2015-peoples-choice-award/.
Out of the remaining finalists, the judges will select 10 winners for the Chicago Innovation Awards, as well as 10 winners for the Up-and-Comer Awards representing innovation in the start-up community. They will also select winners for the Social Innovator Award and the Collaboration Award. The winners will be invited to ring the NASDAQ Bell in New York City and attend separate meetings with Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Governor Bruce Rauner and Cook Count President Toni Preckwinkle.
