@properties’ Kevin Van Eck Wins Managing Broker of the Year
Kevin Van Eck, @properties vice president of training and brokerage services, was recently named Managing Broker of the Year in the city category at the ninth annual Chicago Agent Magazine Agents’ Choice Awards. The event was held on Oct. 14 at 850 Lake Shore Drive Luxury Apartments.
The Chicago Agent Magazine Agents’ Choice Awards are voted on by peers in the Chicago real estate industry. Also nominated for the award were Rick Druker of Baird & Warner and Joe Siciliano of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.
An @properties and Chicago Association of REALTORS® Top Producer in 2009, 2010 and 2011, Van Eck was named director of agent development for @properties in 2012. In his role, he was responsible for the creation and implementation of educational, training, and business-development initiatives for the firm’s brokers. In 2013, Van Eck was promoted to managing broker and vice president of training and brokerage services, a role in which has been responsible for maintaining his training and coaching duties, while overseeing recruitment, marketing, and day-to-day operations for @properties’ River North and Lincoln Park offices. Together, these two offices account for over $1.224 billion in annual sales volume.

@properties broker Landon Harper also earned a nod at this year’s awards ceremony, winning the Best Dressed Agent award for the second time. Other @properties Agents’ Choice nominees were John Wyman (Charitable Services Award), Emily Sachs Wong (Industry MVP – city), Susan Maman (Industry MVP – suburbs), and Joe Zimmerman and Mary Haight of MKT Properties (Best Team). The firm also received a nomination for Best Brokerage Website.
